Mewlo Terms of Service

Welcome to Mewlo. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply when you visit mewloshop.com, create an account, use our website, or purchase a product from us.

Throughout these Terms, “Mewlo,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the UK-based independent business operating the Mewlo brand. “You” and “your” refer to anyone accessing our website or purchasing from us.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and the policies referenced below. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or place an order.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights available under the laws of the country, state, province, or territory where you live.

1. Access and Accounts

You must be at least the age of majority in your country or place of residence to place an order. If you are under that age, you may use the website only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

You may be asked to provide information including your name, email address, billing information, payment information, and shipping address. You agree that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity carried out through your account. Please contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

You must not transfer, sell, or provide your account to another person without our permission.

2. Products and Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to display product descriptions, dimensions, colours, materials, photographs, availability, and prices accurately.

However, please be aware that:

• Colours may appear differently depending on your screen and device settings
• Natural wood and textile materials may contain reasonable variations in colour, grain, texture, or finish
• Small variations may occur between individual products
• Packaging or minor product details may change where this does not materially affect the product’s appearance, safety, quality, or intended function

Reasonable natural variations are not necessarily defects. This does not affect your rights if a product is faulty, damaged, unsafe, materially different from its description, or otherwise does not meet applicable legal standards.

We may update product descriptions, discontinue products, or limit available quantities. Changes will not remove rights relating to an order that we have already accepted.

3. Prices, Taxes, and Charges

Product prices are displayed in the currency selected or shown at checkout.

Applicable taxes and shipping charges will be displayed at checkout where they are collected by Mewlo. International orders may also be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or handling charges imposed by the destination country.

You are responsible for reviewing the total price and order information before completing payment.

Prices, promotions, and product availability may change for future orders. A price change will not normally affect an order that we have already accepted, except where the displayed price was clearly incorrect.

4. Orders

When you place an order, you are offering to purchase the selected products under these Terms.

After placing an order, you will receive an order-confirmation email. Please review the confirmation and contact us promptly if any information is incorrect.

We may decline or cancel an order before shipment where:

• The product is unavailable
• Payment cannot be authorised or verified
• The billing or shipping information is incomplete or inaccurate
• There is an obvious pricing or product-information error
• We reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised resale
• We cannot legally ship the product to the selected destination

If we cancel an order after collecting payment, we will refund the affected amount to the original payment method.

Products purchased through our website are intended for personal or household use unless we agree otherwise in writing.

5. Payment

Payment must be completed using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method supplied and that the billing information is accurate.

Payments may be processed by Shopify or another payment provider. Your use of a third-party payment service may also be subject to that provider’s terms and privacy policy.

6. Pre-Order Products

Products marked as Pre-Order are not ready for immediate dispatch.

Unless a different estimate appears on the relevant product page, pre-order products are expected to ship approximately 2–4 weeks after the order is placed.

The 2–4 week estimate refers to the expected dispatch timeframe and is not a guaranteed delivery date. Carrier transit time applies after dispatch.

By ordering a clearly marked pre-order product, you acknowledge that delivery may take longer than 30 days from the date of purchase, based on the dispatch and transit estimates displayed before ordering.

Production schedules, supply-chain conditions, carrier disruptions, customs processing, weather, or other circumstances may affect the estimated shipping date.

If we cannot ship within the timeframe originally promised, we will contact you with an updated estimate. Where required by law, you will be able to accept the delay or cancel the affected order for a refund.

If an order contains both pre-order and in-stock products, the full order may be held until all products are ready unless we decide to ship the available products separately.

7. Shipping and Delivery

We currently ship to the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

For products that are not marked as pre-order, the estimated total delivery timeframe is approximately 7–15 business days from the order date, unless a different estimate is displayed on the product page or at checkout.

Delivery estimates may be affected by customs processing, weather, carrier disruptions, peak periods, address problems, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

For consumer orders, responsibility for loss or damage generally remains with Mewlo until the product is delivered into your physical possession or the possession of a person identified by you to receive it. This does not apply if you independently arrange a carrier that was not offered by us.

If a significant delay occurs, please contact us so we can investigate and provide the available options. We remain responsible for meeting our legal obligations regarding delivery.

8. Order Changes and Cancellations

If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible at lia@mewloshop.com.

We will try to accommodate your request, but changes cannot be guaranteed once an order has entered processing or has been shipped.

This does not limit any cancellation right provided by applicable consumer law.

9. Returns and Refunds

Mewlo offers a voluntary return period of 15 calendar days from delivery for most eligible products.

Under this voluntary policy, products must generally be unused, in their original condition, and free from scratches, claw marks, pulled fibres, fur, stains, odours, or other signs of pet use.

Because our products are designed for cats, a product that has been used or scratched by a cat may not qualify for a voluntary change-of-mind return.

For customers in the United Kingdom, statutory online cancellation rights apply separately. UK consumers generally have 14 days after delivery to notify us of cancellation and a further 14 days to return the product.

A customer may inspect a product as they reasonably would in a physical shop. If the product has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it—including being used or scratched by a cat—we may make a lawful deduction for the resulting reduction in value.

Our voluntary 15-day return policy does not limit your rights concerning faulty, damaged, unsafe, or incorrectly supplied products. These rights may apply beyond the voluntary return period.

10. Exchanges

We do not currently process direct exchanges for change-of-mind requests.

If the original product is eligible for return, we recommend returning it and placing a separate order for the product you prefer.

If a product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us so we can review the issue and arrange an appropriate replacement or refund.

11. Product Placement and Use

Mewlo products must be used for their intended purpose and in accordance with any instructions supplied with the product.

You should:

• Place the product on a stable and suitable surface
• Follow any assembly, placement, and care instructions
• Inspect the product before use and periodically afterwards
• Provide reasonable supervision based on your cat’s behaviour
• Stop using the product if it becomes damaged, unstable, excessively worn, or unsafe

Cats may interact with products differently. We cannot guarantee that every cat will use or respond to a product in the same way.

Nothing in this section excludes responsibility for a defective or unsafe product or any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Intellectual Property

The artwork, illustrations, product designs, photographs, graphics, logos, branding, text, videos, and other content displayed on the website are owned by or licensed to Mewlo and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may use the website for personal shopping and informational purposes only.

Without our prior written permission, you must not:

• Copy or republish our artwork, photographs, or website content
• Use Mewlo artwork, branding, or product designs commercially
• Create products derived from Mewlo artwork or product designs
• Scrape or automatically extract content from the website
• Use our branding in a way that suggests an unauthorised partnership or endorsement

13. Reviews and Customer Content

If you submit a review, comment, photograph, or other content to Mewlo, you confirm that the content is truthful, belongs to you or is submitted with permission, and does not violate another person’s rights.

We may remove or decline to publish content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, discriminatory, fraudulent, or unrelated to the relevant product.

We will not use an identifiable customer photograph in broader advertising solely because it was submitted as a review. If we would like to use identifiable customer content for marketing outside the original review context, we will seek appropriate permission where required.

14. Relationship with Shopify

Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to offer our products and services online.

Any purchase made through this website is a transaction directly between you and Mewlo. Shopify is not the seller of Mewlo products and is not responsible for fulfilling your order, handling product returns, or providing customer service on behalf of Mewlo.

Mewlo remains responsible for its obligations as the retailer, including obligations concerning orders, delivery, product quality, refunds, and applicable consumer rights.

Shopify may process certain personal and transactional information to operate the ecommerce platform. Further information is available in our Privacy Policy and Shopify’s applicable privacy documentation.

15. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may use or contain links to services provided by payment providers, delivery companies, analytics providers, social-media platforms, or other third parties.

Third-party websites and services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for content or services independently controlled by those third parties.

This does not remove Mewlo’s responsibility for fulfilling your order or complying with applicable consumer law.

16. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are explained in our Privacy Policy.

Information may be shared with Shopify and other service providers where reasonably necessary to process payments, fulfil orders, deliver products, operate the website, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.

17. Errors and Corrections

The website may occasionally contain typographical errors, inaccurate information, or omissions relating to descriptions, prices, promotions, availability, shipping charges, or delivery estimates.

We may correct errors and update information. If a material error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you and provide an appropriate option, which may include confirming the corrected order or cancelling it for a refund.

18. Website Availability

We try to keep the website accurate, secure, and available. However, temporary interruptions, maintenance, or technical problems may occasionally occur.

We are not responsible for losses caused solely by temporary website unavailability where we have taken reasonable care.

This does not affect our responsibility for accepted orders, payments, products, or obligations that apply under consumer law.

19. Prohibited Uses

You must not use the website to:

• Break applicable laws
• Commit or facilitate fraud
• Infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights
• Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate another person
• Submit deliberately false or misleading information

• Use Mewlo content or products for unauthorised commercial copying or resale

We may restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe these restrictions have been violated.

20. Our Responsibility

We are responsible for losses that are a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care.

We are not responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been foreseen when the order was placed or that result entirely from your own actions or from circumstances outside our reasonable control where we have fulfilled our legal responsibilities.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits responsibility for:

• Death or personal injury caused by negligence
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Faulty, unsafe, or misdescribed products
• Breach of mandatory consumer rights
• Any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded or limited

21. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the website at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe that you have materially violated these Terms, misused the website, or engaged in unlawful or fraudulent activity.

Termination does not affect rights, obligations, or payment responsibilities that arose before termination.

22. Severability and No Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we have waived the right to enforce it later.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when our products, services, business operations, or legal obligations change.

The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Changes will normally apply to future website use and future orders and will not remove rights already attached to an accepted order.

24. Applicable Law and Disputes

Mewlo is operated by a business established in the United Kingdom.

These Terms are subject to the applicable laws of the part of the United Kingdom in which the Mewlo business is legally established.

If you are a consumer outside the United Kingdom, this does not remove any mandatory consumer protection available in the country, state, province, or territory where you live.

If a problem arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it directly. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from using a consumer-protection service or bringing a claim before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.

25. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, Refund & Return Policy, and any additional conditions displayed on a product page or at checkout, form the agreement between you and Mewlo concerning use of the website and purchases made through it.

If a specific product or promotion has additional conditions, those conditions will apply to that product or promotion. Mandatory consumer law will always take precedence where applicable.
